What to look for
In photos of a room like this, look at the shelves. Toys sit in clear rows, few in number. You can see what a child chose: a puzzle half done, a tray of blocks, a book left open. Children work in pairs, not crowds. Teachers kneel at eye level. The room shows its order, and the children move through it on their own.
