Call (570) 587-5892 or email info@ucpnepa.org. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. We will talk through what is available for that age and answer your questions. From there you can set up a time to visit.

Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. Bring your child so they can see the room too. Watch how the day is paced and where children eat and rest. Ask anything that matters to your family.

Enroll and settle in
Complete the enrollment forms and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. We can start with shorter days if that helps. Tell the teachers what comforts your child and what signals they are tired or hungry. You can ask us about hours, days and what to bring.
What to have ready
Most families bring enrollment forms, a health form and up-to-date immunization records. Have the names and phone numbers of your emergency contacts ready. List the people allowed to pick up your child. Ask the office which forms apply to your child's age.
Pack a full change of clothes in a labelled bag, including socks and underwear. Add outdoor gear for the season, like a hat, mittens or boots. Nap items and one small comfort object help children rest. Write your child's name on everything.
Talk through the drop-off routine before the first day so you both know what happens. Decide who will pick up and make sure that person is on your list. Tell your child's teacher how you prefer to hear about the day. Ask any last questions at drop-off.
The first weeks
The first days often start shorter and build up from there. Bring a familiar object from home, like a small blanket or toy. A teacher greets your child by name at the door and shows them where their things go. You can call to check in.
At pickup, teachers tell you how your child ate, slept and played. They share what went well and what was hard. Most children settle within a few weeks, though every child is different. Ask for more detail any time you want it.

Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age and what openings we have, so the best next step is to ask us directly. Tell us the days and hours you need, and we will let you know what is possible for your family.
What if there is no place right now?
You can ask to be told when a place opens for your child's age group. We will take your information and contact you if something becomes available, though we cannot promise a date or a spot.
